1986 Pirelli Calendar Featuring Marne Maitland by Bert Stern, a celebrated edition of the Pirelli Calendar, this 1986 volume was shot by legendary photographer Bert Stern — known for his work with Marilyn Monroe and Vogue. Merging his signature soft palette with surreal, pop-inspired details (paintbrushes, color-blocked lenses, and bold lips), the calendar was only distributed to a select group of Pirelli clients and executives.
This iconic visual — a nude model wearing brushstroke-painted sunglasses, staring directly into the lens while holding a paintbrush — has become emblematic of 80s luxury surrealism: playful, sensual, and exquisitely composed.
