1930's Hattie Carnegie Black Oversized Bugle Beaded Clutch

About the Item

This is a stunning beaded clutch from the 20th century American designer Hattie Carnegie. The bag is draped and gathered and the beads flow as if they were liquid. There is a metal zipper concealed at the top and four slip pockets inside along with the Hattie Carnegie label. This bag is even more glamorous in person and it is in very good to excellent condition. Measurements; Height 7.5" Width 13" Depth 2.5"

This rare shell minaudiere from Marguerite Stix has a ruby cabochon and large blister pearl for the clasp and a gold washed frame. It is signed Stix on both sides of the clasp and the interior is lined with chamois. It is in excellent condition. Marguerite Stix was born in Vienna and although she was too young to be a member of the Wiener Werkstatte she nevertheless became a protege of Josef Hoffman at a very young age.
