About the Item
Eye-catching "Don't be like the rest of them, Darling!" up-cycled hand-painted 1960s vintage handbag by Lilli Grill.
Talented Munich-based illustrator Ursula Baur alias Lilli Grill is the first artist I am happy to work together on this project. This handbag is number three of four one-of-a-kind handbags decorated by her. Love her imaginative and expressive fashion-savvy illustration art!

Lilli Grill designed the playful illustrations according to the shape, style and colour of this unique 1950s café au lait leather handbag and painted them by hand with acrylic paint onto both outsides.
The wearable artwork features a flirty tanned sun worshipper sporting a white bikini and a pair of stylish oversized pink frames on one side, and a phantasy peacock butterfly in front of a blooming meadow on the other side.
Frame design. Double top handle. One compartment with two flat side pockets. Gold tone metal kiss-lock closure. Lined in a matching fabric.
Good vintage condition. Overall patina to the metal frame and closure. Slight wear to the lining. Please have a look at the pictures.
