Penny Drue Baird is the owner of Dessins LLC, a New York based boutique interior design firm with an outpost in Paris, France. Ms. Baird is internationally acclaimed and is especially known for creating atmospheres replete with architectural detail, warmth and sophisticated charm. Ms. Baird creates personalized homes for her clients and sources cutting edge new and classical design furnishings as a result of her travels throughout the world.
Dessins' work is eclectic, blending different styles, incorporating her clients' taste to realize their fantasies while creating a home that is easy to live in. Dessins provides styles ranging from traditional to contemporary based on the mission of each project. A client may well have a ski house in a "Mountain" look and an ultra-modern Tribeca loft.
Ms. Baird has been named to Architectural Digest's list of the Top 100 Architects and Designers for over 20 years. She has been featured and quoted in more than 100 magazines, newspapers and books throughout the US and internationally.
Ms. Baird has released three books published by The Monicelli Press - Bringing Paris Home (2008), The New French Interior (2011) and Dreamhouse (2015).
