Chinese Tigerman Lotus Form Puddingstone Basin

About

Hand-carved of mesmerizing puddingstone, this contemporary hand-carved stone basin evokes the graceful shape of a traditional lotus flower. Shaped with undulating curves, the container has the look of freeform pottery. Exploiting the stone’s conglomerate nature to suggest painterly daubs of color, the sculptor gives the vessel an almost fluid appearance.
