Art Deco Plaster Relief of a Woman with a Greyhound Dept Store Installation
About the Item
Spectacular and a rare piece from the art Deco period. Fabulous relief of a scantily clad glamorous woman with a Greyhound that looks like it's in motion. The dog is leading the way and the woman is moving at a quick pace. Plaster with steel reinforcement this was mounted on a wall in a department store in Allentown Pennsylvania and was removed before demolition. Very hard to find something of this nature as they just don't survive. This piece was repaired properly by professional restorers. More steel was added and some plastic epoxy. Then repainted to match its existing color. So now it's in excellent restored condition with minimal wear. This is probably a One of a Kind Find.
