About the Item

This very unusual 20th century Italian pair of two wood doors come from a Florentine house. The front of each rectangular door panel is lacquered as brick red faux porphyry marble, very realistic painted with little white and black dots throughout on red surface and framed with simply molded gilt frame with gold leaves technique. The original forged golden brass handles are centered by a deeply carved oval shaped giltwood frame. The doors are unframed on the back, plain red brick color lacquered with round shaped wood handles. Original red lacquered iron hinges. Both the doors open inward. These doors are the perfect versatile architectural element to embellish every room in your home. Use them for an entrance, a living room, a library or a walk-in closet or adapt them as an eccentric room divider. The faux porphyry lacquer recalls the neoclassical period at the same time the golden details make these doors more modern and precious adaptable to any type of furnishing. Measures: Doors#1: Each door width 54cm, height 2 mt., depth 8 cm. Doors#2: Each door width 51cm, height 176 cm, depth 6,5 cm. The price is per item (1 item= 2 doors)
