19th century cast iron polished fireplace mantlepiece. This English Made Art Nouveau Fireplace, dated circa 1890 - 1910 is typically characterized by its detailed long sinuous organic lines - inspired by sophisticated flowing plant forms. This fine period example surround has been fully burnished which accentuates its classic features. Recently salvaged from a london period town house and restored to its former glory. Dimensions: Shelf width 63 inches Shelf depth 9.75 inches Overall height 51 inches Opening width 37.25 inches Opening height 37.75 inches Base width 56.5 inches Internal rebate 2.5 inches.
