Direct from England, a very distinctive 19th century English cast iron hearth panel or ‘fireback’.
The slender cast panel is highly detailed, with excellent relief casting. Set within a foliate border, the panel features two musicians, in period clothing, playing their trumpet and marching drums!
A very unique, decorative piece for your kitchen or den, with a narrow profile suitable for smaller places. Solid and heavy, circa1880.
Measurements: 19.5” ht. x 13” x .25”.
