19th century French neoclassical style fireback with two pillars of freedom. The pillars symbolize the value liberty, one of the three values of the French revolution. The date of production of the fireback, 1881, is also cast in the fireback
The fireback is made of cast iron and has a natural brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter.
