French Louis XV Carrara Marble Antique Fireplace Surround
About the Item
A beautiful antique fireplace in the typical Louis XV style, made of Carrara marble. With their French origin, these types of fireplaces are also called “trois coquille” fireplaces. The three cut shells spread over the linear width at the top of the legs of the antique fireplace give this elegant antique fireplace a seductive look. The side plates of this antique fireplace are provided with extra milling and a brass vent grille, which makes this antique fireplace not only richer but more exclusive. Antique fireplaces with millwork in the side plates are particularly rare.
