About the Item

Crafted in France circa 1960, this elegant mid-century firescreen showcases an ornate scrolling design in hand-forged wrought iron. The openwork composition features symmetrical curves accented with clusters of gilt floral rosettes, lending a decorative sparkle to its otherwise dark, patinated frame. Raised on four curled feet with scroll finials, the screen stands independently and offers both beauty and function. Measuring 48 inches wide by 33 inches high and 8.5 inches deep, it weighs approximately 40 pounds and remains in excellent vintage condition with a richly aged surface and slight wear consistent with use.
