About the Item

French Louis XIV fireback with a coat of arms and two pillars. The pillar refers to the club of Hercules, his favorite weapon. It symbolizes power. The name of the owner and the year of production are also cast in the fireback. The fireback is made of cast iron and has a brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter at no extra cost. Although the fireback has small crack (center bottom, see pictures) is can be used in an open fireplace or as a backsplash.
