Gorgeous mid-19th century authentic French Napoleon III iron daybed, sourced from Provence and beautifully aged with time and wear. This piece showcases hand-wrought ironwork with elegant scroll and curve motifs, characteristic of the romantic revivalist spirit of the Second Empire. The silhouette features gracefully arched arms, slender lines, and a rare cast floral medallion at the center, depicting a lyre framed by laurel leaves and trumpets—symbols of art and celebration. The original painted surface remains throughout, with a rich, layered patina in tones of cream and deep blue over exposed iron. The daybed stands on delicate legs with original casters and includes a full iron grid base.
