Early Mid Century Italian Wrought Iron Folding Armchair Pair by Carlo Crespi
About the Item
Comfortable pair of Carlo Crespi wrought iron folding armchairs, handcrafted in the Village of Parabiago, Milan Italy.
The style details are superb: the curved chair back orb, the fanned back support with Carlo Crespi medallion, the sculpted & hammered arms, and gentle contour of the seat panels. Grey painted patina. Early Mid Century style, Art Deco influence. Circa 1940.
Measures: 20.5" W x 35.4" H x 24" D, seat height 17.6" H
The curved orb form of the chair back creates the widest measurement of 20.5" W, as well as providing the style's visual impact. Overall the remainder of the chair structure measures 18" W, with a comfortable space between the 25.6" H arms of 17" W forward to 15.5" W rearward. The seat is 17.6" H maximum. Off the wall measure is 24" D. In the folded state, the chair requires storage space of approximately 21" W x 48" H x 8" D.
