Spectacular vintage MCM (Mid-Century Modern) round black painted metal indoor/outdoor accent table with tripod base and glass top. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. We have given the table a fresh coat of black paint. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections, circa, Mid to Late 20th century. This little black accent table is much like that little black dress, it just goes well with ANYTHING! It is comprised of a metal frame that has been given a fresh coat of black paint, a wonderful round top with raised trim around the edge, topped with lovely round glass which rests upon clear bumpers, and a fabulous tripod base with black feet. You can certainly use this table with or without the glass AND you can use it indoor or outdoor! Talk about versatility!! It has a simple design with spectacular presence, and it is ready to be a new vintage addition to your patio, deck, or porch, or in the game room, dining area, or living room next to a lounge chair. It would also be awesome in your sunroom or out on the lanai next to a lounge ready to hold your favorite beverage!! So often pieces like this are Attributed to Russell Woodard, and throughout the design community there are debates and discussions as to what in fact defines a Russell Woodard piece, but in fact he never produced spun fiberglass furniture...

Wonderful vintage Tropitone outdoor chairs with vinyl straps & cushions, set of 6. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The chair frames and cushions have been pressure washed and professionally cleaned. We have touched up some places on the frames with Krylon ivory gloss and we have ordered new feet for the chairs. The cushions still have some stubborn stains after cleaning and two of the cushions are a slightly different color of white from the rest. Please see photos and zoom in for details. Tropitone was founded in Sarasota, Florida in 1954 by Burt M. Baker, a retired Lockhead Engineer and executive at Grand Rapids Chair Company. Tropitone served the contract market, including hotels, motels, clubs, and resorts with high performing outdoor patio furniture. In the 1960’s they introduced powder coated aluminum finishes to the industry. Utilizing a multi-step wash process that ensures a lasting finish, Tropitone’s aluminum frames prevail under any environmental conditions. Tropitone also pioneered the technique of double-wrapping vinyl straps around the powder coated aluminum frame for extra durability, which continues today. In 1970’s they established operations in Irvine, California which provided a bi-coastal manufacturing to North American customers. In the 80’s they released “Comfort is Key” cushions and sling seating. Tropitone sling seating has the perfect combination of clean lines, designer fabrics and carefree maintenance. In the 90’s EZ Span and Basta Sole Umbrellas were introduced and in the 2000’s woven furniture and Relax Plus cushion seating was created including replications of rattan or wicker outdoor furniture. Tropitone continued to launch new systems for their furniture from 2000 through 2014 when they celebrated their 60 years in business when they joined forces with Brown Jordan International.
