About the Item
Exceptional example of the Streamline, Machine Age, Art Deco style, popular in the 1930's, this chair was designed by Richard Neutra for J.A. Bozung circa 1930/40's. The chair features an exaggerated and dramatic profile that suggests speed and modernism indicative of the hopeful futurist vision in pre war America.
This example is in very good, clean original condition, the tubular aluminum shows minor cosmetic wear as we have not polished or touched the surface save light cleaning, we do not have cushions.
Chic, voguish and sophisticated, the chair still look modern and relevant almost 100 years after its production.
