About the Item
This early 20th-century French garden fawn makes a versatile decorative sculpture for both indoor and outdoor settings. Skillfully crafted from Portland cement, the sculpture captures the serene beauty of a reclining deer with lifelike details, from its textured body, alert ears and graceful legs. The weathered patina enhances its vintage appeal, adding depth and character while reflecting its age and history. It appears to have been painted repeatedly with traces of different layers remaining. The effects are interesting and combined with yellow lichen, clumps of moss and a film of artistic dirt, quite beautiful. It's ideal for soulful gardens, entryways, or as a striking accent in an interior space. The piece is sturdy enough to withstand cold temperatures and is without any substantial cracks or losses.
