Antique Burmese Silver Repousse Bowl Jardiniere Planter, Circa 1900s

About the Item

A 19th Century Burmese silver repousse bowl. The bowl is decorated with repoussé work, a technique where the metal is hammered from the reverse side to create a raised design. The design features floral and foliage patterns. These bowls were traditionally used for ceremonial purposes or as decorative items. They are considered collectible antiques and used in modern days mostly as planter Measures 13.5" in width, 13.5" in depth and 11" in height. Opening is 12.25"
