About the Item

An impressive set of three large scale antique terracotta jardinieres or vases in the classical style, perfect for use as statuary or planters in a garden. Dating from 19th century England, these antique garden urns have stood the test of time for more than 140 years and are in good condition. Each is reasonably wide, offering a generous planting area, ornately decorated to the exterior with carved foliage swags attached to four handles above a turned socle base. Thanks to their size and rich red terracotta colour, this set of three Victorian planters are showstopping antiques for a garden, looking striking in a walled courtyard or within the grounds of a large country estate. Internal diameters: 45 cm (17.71 inches) Depth of pots: 20 cm approx. (7.87 inches) Bases: 35 x 35 cm (13.77 x 13.77 inches) Weight (each): 43.5 kg.
