About the Item

An impressive large antique religious stained glass window. Stained with shades of blue, pink, and vibrant gold, this elegantly etched piece showcases a biblical scene of the Good Shepherd between stylised hearts and bordered by geometric designs. It would look stunning flooded with daylight to showcase the dramatic colours and hand painted scene, perfect as a main feature window in any period property. This striking piece is comprised of three hand painted glass panels fitted in its original pine frame. The Good Shepherd The scene depicts that of the Good Shepherd, John 10:11-16. The verse tells the story of Jesus laying down his life for his sheep when a wolf approaches, unlike the hired hand who flees. Jesus saved his flock from the wolf even though it meant sacrificing his own life, this is thought to represent Gods concern and care for sinners.
