An antique and genuine organic wooden bowl with nice patina from Northern Sweden With highly appealing patina. Ownermark sign MMS ,& dated 1793 below. Beautiful in any room,a real centerpiece. You can see the use of time. Drycrack occour The bowl is made of pine. These bowls where especially important for many families,therefore they were passed on from generations. Good antique condition with minor historic knocks marks,scratchers,wear, imperfections as is to be expected with functional antiques.

This extremely large and substantial Folk Art carved bowl is presumed to have originated from Scandinavia, possibly Sweden, in approximately 1860 in the period country Folk Art style. This bowl is hand crafted from a hardwood and spans two feet across and six inches deep and has a single wooden handle inset on one side of the rim. This antique bowl shows all its original wear and age and was likely crafted originally as a large dough bowl.
