1960 Neoclassical Italian Carved Pink Red Marble Big Tazza Bowl with White Veins

About the Item

Mid-20th Century Italian vintage large marble tazza/ bowl. High quality of the hand execution of the turning with double lip, and decoration of the “baccelli”: hand-carved cloves on the exterior. This piece is precious for the use of Sarancolen, the same marble used for the National Opera House in Paris. It is a marble known for its intricate blend of colors that makes every unique piece resemble the canvas of a modern painter in love with the earth and colors. Exceptional condition and tints of the veins on a terracotta color background, pink, grey, warm yellow, red, white, raised on foot with a square base and lip molding. Square base dimensions: 8.5 in x 8.5 in x 1.25 in H. TWO are available. Accompanying columns of the same marble are available, contact us for more details.
