About the Item

American antique ceramic glass ornamental aquarium Weller Loranger, early 1900s Ornamental ceramic aquarium and glass bowl. The main ceramic structure represents a kingfisher with characteristic colors of blue, orange and white, it is perched on a tree trunk and scrutinizes the glass bowl with acid yellow and green shades. Next to the bird is a perforated "trunk" that can be used as a vase. The pottery was produced in the early 1900s by Weller, this item is listed in the book "The Collectors Encyclopedia of Weller Pottery" by Sharon and Bob Huxford published by Collectors Books in 1979, page 153. The glass bowl is a 2019 remake by Loranger. Logo under both elements. Book not for sale.
