Antique Bohemian Ruby Glass Sugar Bowl (Bonbonnière) with Saucer – Made for the Middle Eastern Market, 19th Century This rare and elegant Bohemian sugar bowl bonbonnière with its matching saucer was crafted in the 19th century specifically for the Middle Eastern Islamic market, including the Ottoman and Persian regions. Made from hand-blown transparent glass with a rich ruby red overlay, the surface has been expertly cut to reveal the clear glass beneath. It is beautifully hand-painted with 24-karat gold enamel, featuring delicate scrolls, floral motifs, and applied gilding accents. Small jewel-like enamel beads add further ornamental detail, enhancing the overall opulence. The matching saucer features an undulating, wavy rim and is decorated with complementary enamel and gilding.
