About the Item
This antique and very ornate bowl was made by the renowned Gorham Company of the United States and dates to approximately 1890 and done in the period Art Nouveau style. The bowl is composed of sterling silver and is quite heavy weighing 670 grams and has a wide curved rim with detailed repouse fruits and flowers. The bowl is monogrammed in script and stands on four feet, with an ornate floral motif. The bowl is clearly hallmarked with the Gorham maker's mark with a model number and "STErRLiNG".
