Art Deco Amber Glass Centerpiece Bowl with Relief Peacock Motif

About the Item

This striking Art Deco centerpiece bowl in vibrant amber glass is a captivating example of early 20th-century design. The shallow bowl features a bold peacock feather motif in high relief, arranged in a radial pattern with six deeply modeled elements rising from the center. The surrounding field is textured with fine hobnail-style stippling that enhances the three-dimensional effect of the design. Three concentric black enamel rings emphasize the circular form and draw the eye toward the sculptural centerpiece. The rim is finished with a frosted band, subtly contrasting with the glossy interior. Marked "Czechoslovakia" on the base, this piece may have been manufactured for Val St. Lambert in Bohemia or designed by one of their associated artists working during the interwar period. With its rich coloration, meticulous craftsmanship, and dynamic relief work, this bowl serves as both a functional dish and a decorative art object. An exceptional addition to any Art Deco or collector’s glassware display.
