About the Item
A stunning Italian mid-century vintage Murano red art glass Cordonato D’oro art glass dish in the form of a shell by Ercole Barovier & Toso (Founded 1880). The dish is modelled as a clam shell with a flat polished base, ribbed body and naturalistic characteristics. The dish is hand crafted in red cased glass with gold aventrine patterning over the red ground. The small dish is not signed but has natural wear associated with its age to the base.
Provenance: acquired in the British art market.
In good condition with expected age wear to the base.
