He was educated at the School of Applied Arts in Copenhagen and worked with materials such as silver, brass, and copper. Andersen was famous for his minimalist design style, which combined functionality with aesthetics. He collaborated with renowned design houses like Georg Jensen and was recognized both in Denmark and internationally. His work was characterized by simplicity and elegance, and he had a significant influence on Danish design in the 20th century. Just Andersen passed away in 1943, but his jewelry and functional objects are still highly valued today, and he remains an important figure in Danish design history. "Disko" metal is an alloy that has been used for art objects. Its precise composition is not known, but it consists of tin, lead, and antimony.
