Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown purple and white interlaced “Roticello” ribbons Italian art glass bowl. Unusual and entrancing optic swirl pattern. In the manner of the Seguso Vetri d’Arte and Aureliano Toso companies. Similar ones published in both companies books. Would make a great display piece on any table. Mid-century era. Measures: 8 1/4” across x 2 1/2” high.

Coming from a family of Murano glassmakers, Aureliano Toso founded his own company in 1938. The collaboration with the painter and artist Dino Martens already showed the first successes at the XXIII Biennale di Venezia.
