About the Item

A pair of elegant Empire tazzas crafted in solid maple root and ebony. The rounded stems feature profiled lower edges and rest on square ebony bases. Each shallow bowl is supported by a finely tapered shaft, also set on a square ebony plinth. A very decorative and refined pair, presented in fine condition with a beautiful, natural patina. Sweden, circa 1810.
