Storyteller: It was always a pleasure for Madame Dupont to host extravagant dinner parties, and each one managed to top the last. She was quite meticulous about how her dishes looked when served, and she chose each component with care. When browsing a quaint Parisian antique shop, Madame Dupont came upon a hand-made French Moser Opaline cut glass serving dish. There was a magnificent dish in the shape of a flower that floated on the surface of the glass, decorated with tiny white and gold enameled flowers. A brilliant piece of art, Madame Dupont knew immediately that it would be the showstopper of her next dinner party. Her amazement was well-founded when she learned that it had been handcrafted in France some time between 1850 and 1920 and yet looked immaculate.
