Edo Period Arita Japanese Porcelain Dish Arita Kanzan & Jittoku, ca 1700-1730. Oliver Impey - Porcelain for Palaces 403. Plate Blue-and-white, Arita c. 1700-30 Reitlinger gift 1978.1926 Bight-foliated plate. Narrow, flanged border and brown-edged rim. Moulded decoration of a medallion in the centre of the well edged with eight double scallops; on the outer side of the well, waves with four leaping hares. Underglaze blue decoration, central medallion of Kanzan and Jittoku asleep on the ground with mountains above.
