Genuine Italian Purple Carved Alabaster Decorative Trinket Box, Italy

A lovely ceramic trinket dish or vide poche in a purple and gray glaze. This piece was created in Italy, and imported by the well-known importer of Italian ceramics, Pauls. It is square and made of a very heavy sturdy ceramic. It almost feels like stoneware or ironstone. The interior of the dish is glazed in an almost purple and gray mat glaze and features a raised stylized design. The design incorporates a floral motif along with ribbons.
