About the Item

This beautiful decorative dish/ cigar tray was crafted in France circa 1960. It features a rectangular body with gently sloped sides and two raised butte-like forms with central concave depressions finished in lustrous 24kt gold. The white rectangular center of the piece is decorated with a graphic starburst illustration featuring four forked arrowhead forms pointing to the center of an elaborate stylized geometric starburst form. The interiors of the triangular arrowhead forms are filled with a dark turquoise- offering an interesting tonal counterpoint to the lighter, more pastel turquoise sides- and traced with three sets of outlines. With its beautiful attention to detail and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition. France, circa 1960 Dimensions: Height: 1.4" x Width: 7.75" x Depth: 6.5".
