Murano Glass Bowl Blue Turquoise Sommerso Flavio Poli/Seguso Attributed 1960s
About the Item
A vintage Murano glass bowl, attributed to Flavio Poli for Seguso, circa 1960s, Italy.
Crafted using the sommerso technique, this piece features a deep royal blue core layered beneath luminous cyan, all encased in crystal-clear Murano glass; A striking effect that evokes the azure blue sea of the Italian riviera.
Its sculptural form is defined by four gently indented sides, carefully shaped by hand while the glass was still molten. This gives the bowl a fluid, organic silhouette, reminiscent of a four-leaf clover.
Measuring 10 cm in width and depth, with a height of 5 cm, it is well-proportioned yet visually impactful. In excellent vintage condition, with only light surface wear to the base.
A refined example of mid-century Murano glass, it works beautifully as a vide-poche or trinket dish while also standing alone as a bold decorative accent.
