Space Age Vide Poche, Bowl, Catchall or Desk Tidy Aluminum and Red Enamel

About the Item

This striking modernist Space Age aluminum bowl, vide poche, was crafted in the mid-20th century in France. The elongated canoe-shaped piece has a typical spatial ship design. The catchall is polished cast aluminum and lined with a bright red-orange enamel accent coating. This desk tidy is the perfect accessory for pen storage or other desk smalls. There is no visible maker's mark. Measurements: 15.75 in wide (40 cm) x 3.75 in deep (9.5 cm) x 1.19 in high (3 cm).
