An English black tole box from the late 19th century decorated with Chinoiserie references like costumed figures, willow trees, and birds. This small rectangular case bears a charming antique patina, exposing some of the silver metal beneath the layers of paint, opening to a (most unexpected) pink interior divided into two sections.
