Rare Nicole Frères music box – exclusively playing Mozart
Beautiful Swiss music box by Nicole Frères, made in the second half of the 19th century.
Wooden case:
Exterior features a realistic wood grain simulation, with the lid inlaid with rosewood, lemonwood, and other exotic woods. The interior is finished in rich red lacquer.
Original tune card is present – Gamme No. 2386, Serial No. 41529.
The serial number is also engraved on the underside of the case.
Mechanism:
Plays four melodies, all by Mozart – a very rare and desirable feature.
Controls are located on the right side.
The Nicole Frères signature is clearly visible on both the comb and the baseplate.
A rare collector’s piece in excellent condition – ideal for connoisseurs of classical music and antique mechanical marvels.
