About the Item
A delightful vintage United Artists composite Pink Panther Swag money box signed Roby Mouro and dating from around 1982. The money box is produced under license by the United Artists Corporation who produced and created the iconic Pink Panther cartoon character on which the money box is based. Created in composite resin type of material the heavily made money box portrays a masked and disguised Pink Panther figure dragging a large swag bag with dollar signs applied in relief to either side. A money slot is located at the top and the base has a removable plug to access the contents. The swag bag has a white textured finish while the figure and dollar signs are hand painted with the figure in traditional pink with colored highlights and with the dollar signs highlighted in red. The money box has United Artists copyright marks to the lower edge and marked Roby Mouro to the opposite side.
Provenance: From an extensive private collection of Pink Panther related memorabilia and acquired through the UK Art Market.
In good condition with light natural wear associated with age and use. With some minor color loss in places with the enamel not taken on the knuckles on one hand.
