19th Century French Poplar Iron Brass and Leather Travel Trunk Jewelry Box

About the Item

Decorate a shelf or a master bath counter with this petite jewelry trunk. Crafted in France circa 1890 and built of poplar, the antique box is rectangular in shape, and finished on all five sides including the top; it features iron side handles, decorative metal and leather mounts in the corners, metal and wood straps all around, and a leather handle at the top. The lock mechanism on the front with the original key, releases the top and opened, it reveals an immaculate inside storage completely re-upholstered with a colorful red velvet fabric. The luggage trunk chest is in excellent condition, and adorns a rich patinated finish and polished iron mounts. Measures: 16" W x 9" D x 10" H.
