About the Item

An antique Chinese Qing Dynasty red and dark brown lacquer elmwood jewelry box from the 19th century with carved and gilt motifs. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty era, this jewelry box attracts our attention with its red and black finish and golden accents. Made of elmwood, the box showcases two petite doors opening to inner shelves, while the lower protruding section accented with finials is made of three drawers fitted with teardrop brass hardware. Presenting hand-carved foliage and floral motifs, the box is raised on four small feet connected to one another through a carved apron in the front. With its nicely weathered appearance and complimenting colors, this Qing Dynasty red and brown lacquered elmwood jewelry box will make for a lovely addition to any bedroom or dressing room!.
