About the Item
We bought this unusual pair of candlesticks or candleholders from a private seller in Germany. Unfortunately we could not find out where they originated.
Their naive and textured look make them rather charming sculptures in their own right.
The trapezoid prism shaped bases seem to be made from metal with a bronze look to them, while the cups and prickets seem to be made from brass. The bases are decorated with what appear to be weld seams.
With a weight of around 500g each they provide a solid base for candles with a diameter of up to 6 cm (2.4 in).
As depicted in photos, the candleholders show some slight rust which adds to its character and has no structural impact.
