Heading : Pair of Georgian silver candlesticks – Cast Date : Hallmarked in London in 1742 – makers mark rubbed Period : George II Origin : London, England Decoration : Detachable sconces on capstan terminals. Stems with panelled baluster section and reeded annulated knop. Chippendale type terraced foot. Engraved dragons head crest on the upper foot Size : Height 18.4cm. base 10.5cm x 10.5cm Condition : Very good, with only light wear with age and minor scratching. One does not quite sit flat but is stable. Restoration : None Weight : 947 grams (30.44 troy)
