About the Item

Pair of candelabra made around the 1980s from murano glass with gold dust. The two subjects represent a couple, Knight and Lady, wearing typical Venetian costumes. The male figure measures 32x18x10 cm and the female figure 30x14x9 cm. They were made with filigree work, one of the most elegant decorative techniques developed by Murano's master glassmakers. These techniques are made using clear glass rods containing straight or intertwined white threads inside, creating the effect of delicate lace within the glass wall. One of the important historical characteristics of Murano glass, which make the pieces unique in the world, is the absolute uniqueness of the workmanship of these objects, which are created exclusively in this area. The state of preservation is good.
