An absolutely stunning piece of clock history, this would have been an absolute staple in so many homes during the Victorian era, the full history of the company is as below
Condition wise, it winds wonderfully and ticks with class, it is running fast and I don't know how to adjust clocks so it will need a service or maybe just a simple turning down of the speed

What a find, I purchased this piece maybe 8-10 years ago and it has sat waiting all this time for restoration, whomever removed the clock movement did so with little care and damaged the top of the piece, as such it has been fully restored to gallery condition and is now ready to accommodate a new movement
I saved this piece because clearly the carving is very old and was conducted by an exceedingly fine craftsman, the Sovereign portrait of a King is very Regal and adds a sense of occasion to such a piece, the case is also decorated with what looks like English Tudor Rose...
