19th Century French Biscuit and Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock – “Pendule en Biscuit aux Cygnes et aux Masques d’Hercule” A 19th-century French mantel clock, crafted in the form of a classical urn. This piece combines matte white biscuit porcelain and finely chiseled gilt bronze. The body of the clock features two elegant swan-shaped handles, symbolizing grace and romanticism. The clock rests on a delicately stepped pedestal mounted on a square base with cut corners. The base is adorned with four sculpted masks of Hercules, connected by festoons of flowers, emphasizing mythological grandeur. A gilded bronze frame encircles the base and is supported by four turned feet, completing its stately presence. Both the main body and pedestal are fashioned in pristine white biscuit porcelain, providing a refined contrast to the gold accents. Condition: In working order. Comes with its original winding key. A decorative object and timepiece, ideal for collectors of French Empire or Neoclassical design
