French table clock gilt bronze figure of David with sword, circa 1830

Large French gilt and burnished bronze table clock with male nude figure, probably David armed with a sword (David and Goliath story), placed beside a tree trunk inside which the clock is placed. Silver-plated dial (slight wear) with black Roman numerals and Breguet-style hands. French mechanics with anchor escapement and half-hour chime on passage on bell. Carica settimanale. Anonymous. Charles X era, circa 1830. Dimensions: 79 H cm; 47 W cm; 20 D cm.
