Portuguese wall clock, Fábrica Reguladora, SARL. This clock from Fábrica Nacional de Relógios, Reguladora SARL, Vila nova de Famalicão, has a wooden frame and a gold dial. It has a classic design, with a rectangular shape and curved top, decorated with a small decorative pinnacle. The dial features black Roman numerals on a gold background, with slim, elegant hands.
The lower part has a glazed compartment that displays the circular metal pendulum, also gilded. The mechanism is winding, operated by specific keys to run the clock. The wood is dark with a varnished finish.
This type of clock was common in Portuguese homes in the 20th century and was used for both its functionality and aesthetic value.
