About the Item
French Lobster Clock, Early 20th Century
An exceptional French bronze lobster-form clock, dating from the early 20th century. Crafted in patinated bronze with striking gilt accents, the piece features a detailed sculptural rendering of a lobster, ingeniously incorporating a circular clock dial by Erlanger into its body. The Roman numeral dial is encased in glass and framed in gilt. A rare and whimsical example of marine-themed decorative art.
